Citadines reached out to us, at Lylux, and requested that we help them in reducing their carbon footprint via energy cost reduction across 4 of their hotel sites.
In the BOH areas and stairwells, Lylux provided luminaires with integrated sensors that allowed for dimming of the luminaire’s light output to 20% after a time delay without motion being sensed. For the apartment room corridors, we installed a lighting system utilizing 2 independent circuits, allowing for one circuit of luminaires to operate 24/7 and another to be activated only upon motion detection. We advised Citadines that the use of motion sensors for the entire project would increase the CAPEX, but the return on investment would be significantly quicker due to the much higher energy efficiency.
